Dr. Sean Benesh - Director

Sean is married to his high school sweetheart, Katie, and they have 3 sons who are aspiring longboarders; Grant, Camden, and Seth. He is involved in urban ministry in the capacity of adjunct professor, researcher, consultant, and church planting. He blogs regularly on various urban themes and topics at www.theurbanloft.org.

He has a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Grace University in Omaha, NE, a M.A. in Church Planting and Church Growth from Simpson University in Redding, CA and a D.Min focusing on urban studies from Bakke Graduate University in Seattle, WA. His experiences include student ministry, church planting both as a planter and a regional strategist, adjunct professor and guest lecturer at various seminaries, and his favorite… being a hiking and mountain biking guide in southern Arizona. He is the author of The Multi-Nucleated Church: Towards a Theoretical Framework for Church Planting in High-Density Cities (2012), Metrospiritual: The Geography of Church Planting (2011) and View From the Urban Loft: Developing a Theological Framework for Understanding the City (2011).
